Abstract
We review available experimental observations on nuclear effects in deep-inelastic scattering as well as in the nucleon resonance region focusing on the ratios of the structure functions (cross sections) for different nuclei. We then briefly discuss a few basic physics mechanisms responsible for nuclear corrections in different kinematical regions and review progress in understanding the observed phenomenon for light and heavy nuclei.
